Doctor Who Kill's Clara?

Posted By: Shane Montgomery Times Read: 1602

Doctor Who producers have yet to kill off a companion permanently. But according to International Business Times, Season 9 will be the last for Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman).

The details of how she’ll leave the show are being kept hush, hush at this point, but it’s more likely she’ll end up in another dimension or somewhere in history as opposed to utter obliteration. Or so we can assume based on what happened to Rose, Amy and Rory.

Clara’s departure is likely occurring as a result of Jenna Coleman’s new role as Queen Victoria in ITV’s new drama series focused on the early life of Britain’s second longest serving monarch. Coleman, 29, has been playing the recurring role of Clara since 2012.

No one knows who showrunner Steven Moffat has planned to step into Clara’s shoes; however, finding a way to bring back an early character like Rose might be the stimulant needed to take the Doctor into the 9th and 10th seasons of the show.
