Star Wars Black Friday Event at Mixedtees.com

Star Wars Black Friday! This is the first one ever. Let’s face it – there’s never been a legitimate reason to have one before now.

Star Wars Episode IV was released May 25, 1977 and Star Wars episode I was released May 19, 1999. Most Star Wars fans know that May is Star Wars appreciation month. George Lucas was one of the forefathers of the Summer Blockbuster. Every Star wars movie made until now was released in May with the exception of The Empire Strikes Back (Episode 5), which was released in June.

So really, no one has ever had a legitimate Star Wars Black Friday event until now. With Star Wars Episode VII set to release December 18, Mixedtees.com is in a special place to offer a rare, one-of-a-kind sale.

So why did Disney, who now owns the most popular movie franchise in history, decide to break with tradition and give us this beautiful Christmas gift? According to the folks over at screenrant.com, Disney didn’t want to compete with their other blockbuster The Avengers, Age of Ultron, which released in May 2015.

That’s right folks, Disney doesn’t rank 57 on the Fortune 500 list for nothing. May 2015 was the original expected release date for Star Wars, and since the Avengers couldn’t be budged, the seventh installment of our favorite space drama can ride Santa’s sleigh into our homes during the Christmas holiday.

And don’t think Disney was lost on how much extra income a Christmas release would bring. Not only is this the most anticipated movie ever to be released (outside of perhaps The Phantom Menace – Jar Jar Binks big sad face), but it’s being released with the full power of the Christmas shopping season behind it – holy cow.

And trust me, it’s not like I’m saying that’s a bad thing. I’m grateful my kids will have Kylo Ren and Han Solo/Chewbacca goodies under the tree. Heck, even I requested a couple throwback items, to which the wife responded with… really?

So now that you know why we can have a legit Star Wars Black Friday, let me tell you how it’s going to go down. Later this week Brian is putting the countdown up on the home page, so watch the hours dwindle down while checking out all the designs that will be on sale for Black Friday.

Each year we definitely break down the savings for everyone. The difference between Mixedtees.com and a lot of the other online tee shirt sellers is our shirts are not cheap Hanes reproductions. We use soft breathable cotton, Bloomingdales quality, American Made graphic apparel that is often compared to the American Apparel brand.

So marking a shirt down to $5 and a hoodie down to $15 is special. Our banker thinks we are crazy. If we had thousands of these printed overseas like most of our competitors, then that makes sense. Our lead printer, John, will often read the name of the person who bought the shirt and announce loudly, “This Darth Vadar/Palpatine 2016 shirt is for Carol in New Jersey.” Then he will handcraft her item while attempting to talk in a part Jersey Shore, part Australian accent while the rest of us beg him to stop.

And throughout the day, we don’t just get Jersey. John gives us Canadian/Australian, Southern/Australian and even Japanese/Australian; and honestly, I don’t know how the Hell he does it or why it sounds so bad. But we all laugh our butts off and you get the product of our silly humor.

But I digress. My point is that your graphic masterpiece has character before it ever arrives to you. And while there will be a lot of people selling cheaply on Black Friday, we won’t be selling anything Cheap! See how I did that?
