Back to School Already?
It’s Back to School Time again! You know how I found out? My wife said, you know the kids go back to school Wednesday right? I checked my wrist that used to carry a watch until the cell phone age, and said, “What! It’s August 12?” To which I then said, Oh crap it’s August 12th and we haven’t launched Back to School at mixedtees.com!
Is it just me or did our generation go back to school AFTER Labor Day? Yes we did! But sometime later teachers started having more meetings during the school year and kids had more days off and longer vacations. So some kids this year started Aug. 12, while others will start Aug. 24 and yet others will start the Monday after Labor, which is always the end of summer break in my mind.
Some parents love back to school because the kids have been hanging around the house all summer. Some parents hate it because that means more time is needed to work on lunches, make school lunches and drive kids around. Oh yeah and then there’s also that back to school shopping thing!
If you remember the Jetson’s cartoon where George was dropping off his kids and wife and giving them all the money in his wallet. Sometimes, that’s what back to school shopping feels like. That said, it’s hard to put a price on good looking kids. Well not true, my price is like $200. Sometimes I win that battle and sometimes I don’t, but what’s a dad to do.
But enough reminiscing. Today’s blog is about how mixedtees.com and our staff are celebrating Back to School 2015.
